Just plain inappropriate boys. Like your music as I do Oasis, but not so sure about the adolescent posturing. Is it necessary? A cheap and misaimed publicity stunt that completely misreads our re-evaluation of Take That's work. Didn't really appreciate how good TT were when they were first around but having them back is like a breath of fresh air. Everything feels so cynical nowadays. And though I was too cool to say it ten or so years ago........Gary Barlow really is a genius!

I remember them making arses of themselves after winning the Mercury Prize too, slagging off one of the journalists for the way he looked. They may have a few good tunes and the world's attention at the moment but they have so much to learn - RESPECT, TACT and some COMMON SENSE. Picking on Take That is such a cheap shot. Surely we can understand difference in genres here? Take That are classic pop and VERY successful at it - they are not trying to be obscure and Indie. Personally I think they have released classic pop albums, but that is just my opinion. Gary is a talented song writer for the genre he is aiming at. In terms of album sales / tour sales etc Take That have beaten the Monkeys hands down - I don't think anyone can argue with that. I predict that Alex will make some sort of apology pretty soon. My guess is that if he met them he'd apologise & grovel (probably has done already) as they are seen as genuinely nice guys by everyone who meets them. That is unless his jealousy gets in the way...
