Today, George himself picked up the award, which honours a song that's stood the test of time.

Great choice. In fact, George is a great songwriter. That's too sad that he is remembered sometimes for his clown make-up.
His actual stuff is as great too...

Boy George deserves this award, but there are so many other beautiful songs he has written al over the years. He is my big hero and number one, Listen to his songs, listen to his musical TABOO, he also deserves a best songwriter award.... xxx sven.strange

Classic Song? Utter, utter, utter PANTS! I have no objection to George picking up an award, but I could think of a thousand songs more deserving than this, including several by Culture Club!

Ok , maybe there are better songs in the Culture Club canon but this one is good enough and a classic. For me , it´s more important the award cause Boy George have written some outstanding songs , no doubt about it .

I just don't understand why Boy George does not recieve more awards like that. Also, we should have people like him on charts, with clever lyrics, strong melodies...
Has he a record deal ? I hope so...
We want "personnality" back in pop...

I had an argument recently that Boy George was more famous for being gay than music, you know like Graham Norton is more famous for being gay than being funny.
My point was proved by a quick poll where only 2 out of 20 people knew one of his songs or achievements (one for song, one for DJ) yet everyone could tell me he was a flambouyant gay.
