Former Mercury Prize winner Ms Dynamite is recovering well after her high-speed car crash on Sky One reality show, The Race.

The R&B singer's car was clipped at 100 mph by AC/DC singer Brian Johnson during the final lap of the show's finale, sending the car spinning out for 50 metres before it came to a stop.

A Sky One spokesman said Ms Dynamite, who was airlifted to hospital shortly afterwards, was not seriously hurt: "All the signs are good. She's just very shaken. It was quite a violent collision, but the paramedics were straight on the scene."

Johnson went on to win the race, narrowly beating Gary 'Cars' Numan into second place.
