If it seemed a bit odd that Oasis would release a greatest hits record, (Stop The Clocks released on Monday 20 November) after promising they wouldn’t until they’d retired, Q have the answer.
“Sony wanted a shitload of Oasis music for Christmas," Noel Gallagher tells Q in an exclusive interview. "If I had the power, it wouldn't be coming out."
Noel has long said that he didn’t want a greatest hits released while the band were still making new music, but with a hefty 11 top 10 singles missing from Stop The Clocks the band have at least managed to stave off a full-on retirement package.
Read the full interview with Noel Gallagher in the next issue of Q, out on 1 December.

I don't think that there is anything wrong with the tracklisting. The only change I would make is drop "Songbird" for either "The Hindu Times" or "Whatever". I can't believe you beards only rated the album 3 out of 5!! I know there are alot of top 10 singles missing, but would you really class songs like "Sunday Morning Call", "All Around The World", "Let There Be Love", and "She Is Love" as Oasis's greatest hits? I certainly wouldn't.
