Maximo Park release their eagerly-awaited second album Our Earthly Pleasures on 2 April. The first single, Our Velocity, is released two weeks earlier on 19 March and Q has an exclusive download of the track right here. It's a special live version, recorded at the band's hometown show at Northumbria University on 20 February.

The follow up to the Mercury Music Prize-nominated A Certain Trigger, Our Earthly Pleasures was produced by Gil Norton, whose sterling work has graced albums by the Pixies and Foo Fighters. "Thanks to two years of touring the world and with the contribution of Gil Norton, Our Earthly Pleasures is a heavy, eye-opening record," says singer Paul Smith. "It's rock music without the clichés, dealing with the world on an emotional level. Ultimately we want to reach as many people as possible because we feel this record has the ability to inspire and affect people."
