More time to get Glasto tickets

With over 1200 registrations an hour yesterday Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis has asked that the online and postal registration for this year's festival be extended until Monday 5 March at 12 midnight saying that "a period of grace" is appropriate.

The official site has reported 100 registrations online every 5 minutes.

Everyone who wants to buy a ticket on 1 April will need to have registered by Monday 5 March – and provide a photograph of themselves. You can register online at http://www.glastonburyregistration.co.uk or by post. Postal application forms can be picked up from any branch of Millets, the high street camping store, or you can download a form from www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/tickets
