Ian Brown has always had a penchant for bizarre, conceptual flights of fancy - remember all that hippy-dippy mumbo jumbo about the "music of the spheres"? - but now he seems to have completely lost his marbles.
According to reports, the former Stone Roses icon has written a new song, The Magic Man, all about a magician called Dynamo. The chorus runs: "Magical offerings, the suspension of time/Some like bending spoons/Dynamo he'll bend your mind."
It's not quite "I am the resurrection and I am the light," is it?
Apparently Brown first met the Bradford-based magician, real name Steven Frayne, last year. Dynamo told The Sun: "Me and Ian hit it off. He was interested in my magic and we kept in touch. I get on well with his kids. We all went to London Zoo recently to check out the monkeys."
Now there's an image.
The results will surface on Ian Brown's forthcoming fifth studio album, due in September. |
