Madonna has ended media speculation that she is to adopt another Malawian orphan. Despite The Sun claiming today (13 April) that she is to adopt a 3-year-old called Grace, the Queen of Pop has strongly denied the rumours. The star added 18-month-old David Banda into her family in October last year, causing much controversy among media commentators and charities.
Madonna’s spokesperson Liz Rosenberg told Reuters yesterday, "She's going back to continue her work with Raising Malawi Organization and to oversee the building of a children's health care centre there... There are no plans for another adoption."
According to Reuters, it is unclear whether or not David will accompany the 48-year-old singer to Malawi for a possible reunion with his real father, Yohane. In October last year, Mr Banda told Time he was not going to challenge the adoption, claiming "I don't want my child, who is already gone, to come back. I will be killing his future."
