Back in 2002, David Bowie curated the Meltdown festival at London’s South Bank Centre, two weeks of music and film that included performances from Coldplay and Gorillaz as well as Bowie himself. Now he’s at it again, picking the line up for this month’s inaugural High Line festival in New York.
It begins on 9 May with a performance by Arcade Fire and ends on 18 May with a show by Australian cabaret artist Meow Meow. In between there will be gigs by Secret Machines and Air as well as stand up by Ricky Gervais. However, Bowie himself will not play.
