Classic scouse rock
From the opening notes you can tell this lot are from Liverpool: they channel three decades worth of the city’s most tune-rich guitar bands, from The Pale Fountains in the ‘80s to The La’s in the ‘90s and The Coral in the Noughties. They might even be the next in that royal bloodline. Veteran producer John Leckie, who was behind an early version of the The La’s self-titled debut from 1990, certainly thinks they’re a bit special as he recently polished two tracks for them, which are currently on-line. The ecstatic Gimme Love is particularly fine.
The Troubadours’ debut single will be released in August.

I'm from Glasgow, and I've gotta say had a wee listen to that Gimme Love a few times now and it just makes me smile. Whatta top wee band!

been following the band since they started out, i knew the first time i heard gimmy love that it would be massive... cant wait for the relese to see what impact it makes, go on boys!
