It’s rare you see anything written about The Magic Numbers these days without the phrase “last year’s underperforming Those The Brokes album” being thrown in somewhere. It’s as if the music press have taken a weird kind of glee in the band’s declining fortunes.

Besides, news that The Magic Numbers are somehow “over” would be news to anyone who’s witnessed any of the band’s euphoric festival performances this summer, which have ensured that their new EP, headed up by Undecided is hardly the “make a break” release some would have you believe.

Undecided is a great single choice, though, signaling a subtle shift from the janglesome, cutesy indie of old to a more mature, soft-focus, white-soul sound. It’s fitting, then, that the video finds the London-based foursome looking unexpectedly glamorous.
