Registration for tickets for this year’s Glastonbury Festival is now open - but don’t panic: the deadline has been extended to March 14.
The ticketing system is a repeat of 2007's successful photo-registration process. Here’s how to apply:
1. Log onto www.glastonburyregistration.co.uk and fill in your details. You will need to provide a current photo, which will be checked on entry to the festival.
2. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email and reference registration number. You will need these to buy your ticket. Those without internet access can pick up a registration form at any branch of Millets.
3. Tickets go on sale at 9am, 6th April. Use your registration number to log on to buy tickets at www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk, www.seetickets.com or phone the ticket line on 0800 079 2008.
"Tickets are sold on a first come first served basis," explains organiser Michael Eavis. "It's going to be a great line-up this year. But I'm fighting to keep the prices down."
Glastonbury festival takes place at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset, 27-29 June.

Aah I'd love to go,lineup sounds good and apparently there's an amazing atmosphere! But got no one to take me-I'm 14 :( ah well.My friend's friend knows the Eavis guy who runs it which is cool, though.

I tell you what would be a really good ticket system... let all those pre-registered folk who are unsuccessful this year to get first option to buy next year. Now that would be fair.

Sounds like could be worst lineup of all time. First year I haven't wanted to go. Have fun @ kidstonbury

Been going for years. Luv it, but Eavis has decided I'm too old to go now. Bit harsh as we've supported him all these years.

As someone else said, let those poor unfortunates who could not get tickets last time, be 1st in the queue. Never once got through by phone or internet.

I've been to 8 or so Glastos. I have also been to the last 3 all of which were very wet and muddy but like so many that have experienced Glastonbury I agree that it's the people and atmosphere that make it what it is/WAS. Over the years the price has risen extortionately which automatically prices out large areas of our communities killing the very soul that made Glastonbury what it is. What a shame. Try Connect or Greenman festival.
'McGlasto' NO THANKS. I won't be returning.

I worked on the pyramid stage for quite a few years in a row, my first year was 1982, the headliners were Van Morrison and Jackson Browne, the weekend ticket was £8-50 and the site ended at the river running behind the pyramid stage. A small crowd attended and it was an enormous success, something like 25,000, a far cry from todays 175,000, I wonder if it will sell out this year?
