Kings Of Leon and The Verve to headline Glastonbury
According to insiders, Kings Of Leon and The Verve will headline the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury 2008, on Friday (27 June) and Sunday (29) nights respectively.
We now have a full complement of headliners since, as previously reported, Jay-Z will definitely top the bill on Saturday (28 June). As yet there is no news on who will headline the Other Stage.

The bands are o.k, but not really headliners!

the verve will be immense - the perfect way to end the weekend. 100,000 people singing bittersweet symphony... can't wait.

Big bone for a little dog? it could have been Kylie, and there's no way she could carry a big bone!

what an average line up- went to see kol in Manchester- they were dull!
Posted by jake at 12:49PM | February 8, 2008
more like 100,000 people moving their heads around with a fag on their lips to the rythms of slide away and gravity grave
Posted by eki at 01:16PM | February 8, 2008
but I agree, average line-up when you expect RHCP or Radiohead
Posted by eki at 01:17PM | February 8, 2008
These are not top quality headliners. The Verve are OK but the other two? Come on Michael you should be doing better than this.

anyone who is doubting KOL doesnt know what they are talking about. I went to Glasto, Reading and V last year and KOL were the best of all the festivals.
and eki..."but I agree, average line-up when you expect RHCP or Radiohead"
I saw RHCP at Reading last year and they had nothing. Performed there songs well but gave nothing back to the crowd. they looked like they didnt care.
Kings of Leon will blow glastonbury away. Good choice Michael.

I know Michael Eavis was trying to appeal to a "younger audience" (who doesn't these days) but this is a poor line-up for headliners.
If I was trying to get a ticket for Glastonbury, after seeing this line-up, I would'nt bother!.

how much are the tix over there then?
the verve would be better preaching "the drugs don't work" to 100,000 wasteheads on a sunday night i'm guessing..take 'em the following weekend

Glastonbury is rubbish anyway, Eavis treats the punters like sods now. It's getting too earnest now.
