Adele’s debut album, 19 arrived at Number One yesterday, while her first proper single, Chasing Pavements, has only been kept from the top spot by some terrible Euro-dance monstrosity. On top of which, she'll be bagging the inaugural Critics Choice award at the Brits on 20 February. In short, it's currently Adele Adkins world and the rest of us just live in it.
