If you’re a student, in a cabaret act, and fancy treading the boards of the Queen’s Head stage at this year’s Glastonbury Festival, point your cursor in the direction of student-friendly website
www.yougofurther.co.uk. They’re running a talent-search, in conjunction with Glastonbury, with the aim of untapping Britain’s student cabaret talent. And even if you don’t win, there’s always the chance you could win one of 20 pairs of tickets to the festival, which takes place 27-29 June.

Yougofurther are also looking for a student band to appear alongside The Enemy, The Wombats and The Cribs at North Cornwall’s Beach Break Live festival, which takes place 9-12 June. Entrants will be judged by Andy Cato of Groove Armada.

Both competitions are open throughout April. Winners will be announced 6 May.
