The Broken Hearts - Amber and Nisha – are a treat for the eyes and ears. A DJ and performance duo, the girls see every show as an opportunity to get dressed up, donning an extensive wardrobe of identical costumes and performing choreographed routines when the pair do live sets.
Drawing on the iconography of Weimar Berlin, circus sideshows and the Golden Age of Hollywood, their live shows are a technicolor extravaganza that takes the DJ out from behind the decks and into the spotlight.
From the hip club night Rakehell's Revels to the Bethnal Green Working Men's Club, the pair have played a wide range of groovy venues including Tate Britain, The V&A and the ICA in London. The Broken Hearts released their debut double A-side single in December 2007, Black Cat/Blanco and their stylish appearance has led to features in Vogue, i-D, and Nylon.
