Proving indeed that there’s a fine line between genius and madness, Tom Waits delivers a press conference about his upcoming tour that is as eccentric as he is brilliant. What does it all mean? Who knows? But at least there’s hope of a European tour.

Continuing the trend of giving music away for nothing, industrial godfathers Nine Inch Nails are giving away their new album, The Slip. This is in addition to releasing a free instrumental album, Ghosts I-IV, earlier this year. Very kind of you, Mr Reznor.

We’re not sure whether to laugh or cry at this, but either way, watching Sad Kermit contemplate suicide whilst performing Needle In The Hay, Elliot Smith’s classic ode to despair, is certainly captivating – and perhaps even quite beautiful.

The band have denounced these three songs that have been leaked on the internet, saying that they’re old and nothing to get excited about. That may be true, but that shouldn’t stop inquisitive minds. Here’s Stop the Clocks, just in case you were interested…
