The Shortwave Set – Now Til 69

You are probably familiar by now at how Danger Mouse scurried on board with a band who at the time were going nowhere, to help them forge their second LP Replica Sun Machine.

Now you can marvel at the change in sound on Now Til 69, a side-step away from their last single No Social. This time the emphasis is on Bowie-esque mid-seventies glam, all chugging bass and Eno-like twinkles, with Andrew Pettitt taking over singing duties from Ulrika Bjorsne, who led the last single and sugars this latest track with her Abba-style backing vocals.

Now Til 69 is the second single from Replica … and is released on August 4.
