Frankly, there is no tangible hook for this whatsoever, except that Lego is great and, well, lots of children will be playing with Lego during the school holidays. If they work hard and hone their skills, they could achieve something like this one day. Here we have a selection of videos painstakingly assembled from small coloured bricks. Genius. Starting with Michel Gondry’s awesome video for The White Stripes and moving on to a few fans who have rather too much time on their hands.

Red Hot Chili Peppers- Can’t Stop
The original video was based on Erwin Wurm’s One Minute Sculptures, and became an instant classic when shown back in 2003. The video in Lego is even more memorable.

A fan video for the comedy duo’s 'song wars' track from their BBC 6 Music show. About as good as Lego gets.
