David Holmes - I Heard Wonders
I Heard Wonders, the first single from David Holmes' upcoming fourth solo album The Holy Pictures sees Belfast's soundtrack supremo and DJ par excellence team up with 70s punk innovator Martin Rev of Suicide for an epic, ambient rock rush.

DJing from the age of 15, Holmes has amassed a vast and catholic musical appreciation. He has ten film soundtracks to his name from 1998's Out Of Sight to 2007's Oceans Thirteen (not forgetting the rejected score for 2006's The Good German) and has collaborated with, among others, post-rockers Mogwai and prog guitar maestro Steve Hillage.

The Holy Pictures is a tribute to both his hometown and his mother Sarah, who passed away in 1996. He says, "I had always wanted to make a record about my life in Belfast and all the things attached to that – family, friends, loss, love and starting a family of my own. All the stuff that shapes the person you become."
