King of the voiceovers Don LaFontaine – yup, that guy who is on every film and DVD trailer – has spoken his last. Just in case you are not renting a film this weekend – and therefore guaranteed to hear him repeatedly – you can visit his website here to remind yourself of just how good he is and hear about his life here. Movies will just never be the same again.

It’s sadly all too brief but here’s the Beautiful South in a bizarre off-the-cuff tribute to Bauhaus’s seminal, stygian goth classic Bela Lugosi’s Dead with, erm, references to cheese and onion sandwiches.

Anyone who has ever seen Henry Rollins live must have felt a little unnerved by his presence. But just have a look at this clip to show you exactly how scary he really is. Rollins turns the tables on an interviewer in a way that will leave you squirming. Then again it could have been worse.

Yeah yeah, you don’t watch X Factor. It’s beneath you. So you must have missed this utterly cringeworthy appearance from gothy ‘holistic vocal coach’ – she claimed to have trained Bullet For My Valentine’s Matt Tuck – Ariel Burdett. Somebody has anger management issues but you can’t knock her self-belief. Watch it and thank your lucky stars she didn’t get through.
